Thembalethu Secondary

Through the Family Transformation Centre in George, The Living Language Foundation is training and supporting peer educators, who are implementing academic support in Mathematics and English, as part of their Gold Peer Educator program in Thembalethu Secondary.

This includes initial training sessions, assisting with baseline assessments, continuous assessment, lesson plans and resources, training on CAPS requirements to supplement academic support and any monitoring and working with the peer educators on a regular basis, to provide any materials or support that they may need.

Below are some images of one of the academic support classes, provided by Dumi, one of the dedicated Peer Educators. She asked the class to spontaneously tell a story about their chosen everyday objects in their classroom.
